 We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over five years of  experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and  scalable network architectures. This role requires advanced technical  expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to lead  complex projects and mentor junior engineers. The successful candidate  will be a key player in ensuring the performance, reliability, and  security of our enterprise network. 

 Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain complex network solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Lead the configuration and optimization of routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN systems from various vendors (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Conduct in-depth performance monitoring and advanced troubleshooting to resolve network outages and bottlenecks.
• Develop and enforce network security standards, policies, and procedures to protect against internal and external threats.
• Collaborate with network architects and other IT teams on strategic planning for network capacity, growth, and optimization.
• Provide high-level (Tier 3) escalation support for critical network incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational playbooks.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new networking technologies and tools.
• Lead network projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering within a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a  related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP, MPLS, VLANs).
  • Hands-on experience with multi-vendor network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Proven experience with network security best practices and technologies (VPN, IDS/IPS).
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and automation tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Ansible).
• Certifications: Professional-level certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCIE, or equivalent are preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical staff.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
